SGTU under the aegis of FEAT, Dept of Computer Sci and Engg. has been organizing various activities in order to commemorate the 400th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji. In the continuation of this series, Dept of Computer Sci & Engg organized a webinar followed by Quiz on the topic “Shree Guru Tegh Bahadur: Life, teachings and its impact on Indian history ”. The webinar was organized for all students and faculties of SGTU. Dr Manpreet Singh , Sikh Scholar was the Keynote Speaker for the webinar. Dr Sahil Vashisht in his welcome address averred that one can learn a lot of values of life from the teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. We can only give true tribute to Guruji by implementing His teachings & ideas of life in our practical life &by dedicating our lives to the people’s welfare by renouncing all kinds of evil in the world. The workshop was conducted virtually with a duration of 1.30 hour on dated 20.04.2021, started at 10.00AM.
- Objective of the webinar
Dr Manpreet Singh during his address acquainted the students with the life journey of Guruji & stressed on the fact that Guruji gave supreme sacrifice for the whole humanity so that the whole world should be able to tread on the path of righteousness. He stressed on the fact that we should all respect with our heads held high keeping in mind Guruji’s sacrifice & should follow the footsteps of Guruji in fighting against injustice &oppression in the society.
