PRADARSHAN-2021
“The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (FEAT) hosted the technical fest “PRADARSHAN-2021” between the 18th and 20th of December 2021 under the banner of CODE CLUB. Almost every college has its own festival or series of festivals, ranging from cultural extravaganzas to scientific innovations. This year’s “PRADARSHAN” was totally focused on gathering as many participants as possible, and it was a huge success in every category. The term “PRADARSHAN” refers to a platform in which all students can acquire and demonstrate their technical and non-technical skills. Its mission is to encourage creative ideas and create a forum for people to share their expertise, as well as to inspire people to think critically and evolve in order to become leaders with overall development.
Leading with Data for Process Excellence
Department of Electronics and Communication & Computer Science and Engineering, FEAT is organizing an international workshop on 17th Dec, 2021 from 2.00pm-3.00p.m for the discussion on the theme ” Leading with Data for Process Excellence “. Respected DEAN, Dr. Arvind Mathur ; Associate Dean & HOD, Dr. Sahil Vashisht; and faculty coordinator, Ms Shelly, will conduct this seminar.
This international workshop will be guided by NHOC ANH NGO (Academic Alliance Manager) and
Prathiksha Yashwanth ( Academic Alliance professional) both are responsible for the global
education and research cooperation program at Celonis, Germany.
The lecture will be an interactive and applied introduction about to Process Mining in terms of sustainability and with a story of youth leadership. They will be presenting a new process demo and exercise also touchbasing with a theory of process mining and automation. The session will also include insights into the start-up story of Celonis and the business impact of Process Mining. It ends with an outlook and a Q&A session.
Excursion Trip cum Industrial Trip to Kulu and Manali
Forty-six students of the Faculty of engineering went on an excursion to Manali from 17th to 22nd November 2021. The twin objectives of this outward bound activity were to develop an appreciation of large engineering projects like hydroelectric plants and the Atal tunnel and to develop team work and bonding through adventure activities.
The team reached Manali on the 18th and visited the Manali Hydro Electric Plant, MDR 30. They spent the respt of the day in adventure activities like the waterfall trek, zip lining and wood bridge commando net.
On the third day, they headed to Gramphu, Atal Tunnel and Solang Valley. The scenery was incredibly beautiful and they saw the majesty of the mountains and the fresh snowfall. Seeing the difficult terrain gave the students an idea of the monumental challenges in constructing the Atal tunnel.
On the fourth day, they visited Hadimbha Temple, Manali Museum, Tibetan Monastery and Manali Van Vihar. The last day of the trip was dedicated to white water rafting, and paragliding and a visit to the Bhutti Weavers Co-operative in Shamshi Kulu.
Shape Your Shadow
Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology has organized mock placement – Shape your shadow on 26.11.2021 to introduce students with placement patterns which include English, aptitude, technical test, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview. The main objective was to empower students with interview skills and bridge the gap between curriculum and corporate. Department of computer science and engineering aims to strengthen the professional skills of students and sensitize the key points to improvise for better placements. Dr. Sahil Vashisht, Associate Dean, and Coordinators Mr. Nitin Sharma and Mr. Manpreet Singh Bajwa with a vision of 100% placement moderated this event. The aim was to provide the flavor of every test so there was no shortlisting at any level. Students in the final and pre-final year will brush up on their skills. Freshers and Seniors also get a brief idea of placement and professional skills. This event is the first part of the placement series 2021. Student coordinators Mr. Ashish, Mr. Sahil, Mr. Pratul, Mr. Harsh, Ms. Vanshika, and Ms. Sanjana coordinated the complete event.
Industrial Internet of Things on 29th Nov,2021
Department of Electronics and Communication & Computer Science and Engineering, FEAT are organizing a seminar on 29th Nov, 2021 from 10 am onwards for the discussion on the theme ” Industrial Internet of Things “. Respected DEAN, Dr. Arvind Mathur ; Associate dean & HOD, Dr. Sahil Vashisht; and faculty coordinator, Ms Shelly, will conduct this seminar.
Mr Shubhranil Kundu is a research and development Engineer and a certified corporate trainer with having a great experience in the field of robotics and IoT and has provided workshops on IIoT, MATLAB and Embedded Systems to 10,000+ students and 100+ faculties at IIT’s. He represented India in japan for jenesys programme on the behalf of Government of India, Ministry of HRD.
We are blessed for having him in the premises of SGT University.

IBM Business established ‘Open Data Weather'
SGT University and The Weather Company, an IBM Business, established ‘Open Data Weather Lab’ in collaboration to enhance research for multiple sectors powered by enterprise-grade weather data. As part of the collaboration, SGT University continues to leverage valuable insights from weather data provided by The Weather Company and drive value-added research on streams such as agriculture, engineering, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and others. To set the tone for AgTech, The Weather Company Global Team held a thought-provoking session at SGT University. Mr. Neal Horrom digital agronomy/precision AGRI Tech leader with 20+ years of experience in creating, supporting and implementing technology solutions for agricultural businesses. Mr. Matthew Porcelli a meteorologist by training and with a strong background in graphics design shared his views on the story. The event was also graced by Mr. Himanshu Goyal is an Associate Director – Sales & Alliances, Watson Media and Weather at The Weather Company, an IBM Business & Mr. Mayank from The Weather Company.
Visit to NSIC
Today on 5th August 2019, we, students of SGT University visited NSIC (National Small Industries Corporation Limited), (A Govt. of India enterprise) Technical service centre, Neemka, Faridabad – 121004, Haryana. Mr. Manoj Kumar Meena, Assistant Manager Technology coordinated us. He has shown us various laboratories with different machineries and technologies. The NSIC is under Ministry of MSME, Government of India. He has shown us different laboratories like CNC (Computer Numeric Control). The centre is also equipped to provide specialized skills and development programs under sponsorship from govt. department and agencies for the benefit of weaker sections of society. Workshops and laboratory set up with computer labs, CAD/CAM labs, CNC simulation lab and machines, tool room, robotics and industrial automation labs, advance mechatronics labs, PLC SCADA training kits, electronic labs, fashion design labs with latest machinery and equipment which makes it different from other institutions in the area. NSIC also helps in organizing supply of raw material like coal, iron, steel and other materials even machines needed by small scale private industry by mediating of other govt. companies like Coal India ltd., Hindustan copper limited and many others who produce material to provide same at concessional rate of SSIs we really like here and the coordinator explained everything in a very peaceful and detailed manner.We learnt about many new techniques and machinery.
Faculty of Engineering and Technology Induction Program 2019
The first day of the induction program was started with the lightning of the lamp by the students along with the faculty members. Dr. V. K. Srivastava (Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology) delivered a welcome speech and informed them about the SGT University, Departmental Courses and the ongoing research activities undertaken by FET. The program was further followed by a ”Motivational Speech” by Dr. R. K. Mittal (Director Academics), faculty introduction and fun activities. The students were also aware about the latest curriculum, ordinances, anti-ragging committee and about the CRC department. Students had a GALA time and the first day ends with lots of fun and knowledge.

Farewell 2019
The Free Birds of Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) took flight today and what a sight it was. The Farewell Party “Freie Vögel” was organized on May 2, 2019, by FET for the graduating and post graduating batches with lots of fanfare. Mr. Rajneesh Wadhwa, Dean, FET, addressed the gathering and wished good luck to the outgoing batch. Various fun activities were played which led to being crowned as Mr. and Ms. Farewell to Anuraag and Rashmi, Mr. Macho to Ashley, Ms. Gorgeous to Divyanshi and Mr.& Ms. Popular to Aprajay and Nikita. Amongst whistling, joking, posing for photographs and fun jovial time, there were nostalgic moments too when a slideshow of times spend together was screened. We wish the students good luck for their future endeavors.
Academic Alliance with Uipath
Department of Computer Science & Engineering, SGT University, Gurugram has inked an Academic Alliance with Uipath under the guidance of Dr. Rajneesh Wadhwa and Dr. Mukesh Yadav, Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Technology. Dr. Chitra Kaul, HOD CSE & Ms. Neha Sehrawat Program Coordinator facilitated the alliance. TechTonic 2019
Department of Computer Science (Faculty of Engineering) SGT UNIVERSITY, GURGAON had organized Tech Fest TechTonic 2019 on 15-16 April 2019. The fest was inaugurated by the university dignitaries in the presence of all the students and faculties. Drone Competition titled War of Wings
Ever saw birds soar in the sky? Well, SGT University became witness to such flying….only the birds were of a different type. Drones….yes, that’s what these man-made birds are called. A Drone Competition titled ‘War of Wings’ was organized on 24th January 2019 to celebrate the FOUNDATION DAY of SGT University in which cash prizes were distributed to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rank holder. Also, individual prizes were distributed to participants. It was a tech show with a difference which got everyone’s eye and was quite a crowd puller.
BrainTech - 2018 Championship Final
Department of Computer Science (Faculty of Engineering) SGT University, Gurugram had organized BRAIN TECH 2018 championship in partnership with Azureskynet & Elan and Vision –IIT Hyderabad on 21st April 2018.
The event started with a welcome note by Mr.Prakash Singh. The introduction was given by Mr. Noor Alam. The motivational speech by Dr. T D Dogra, Director at IQAC. The talk on Personality & Psychology was delivered by Mr. Anubhav Shrivastava. Two Hour exam was taken up by all participants with great spirit. More than 150 students attended this Event. There were zonal winners from Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, and Colleges of NCR other than SGT University. Mr. Brij Awasthi concluded the session and declared the winners.

The awards for all zonal winners and trophy for first, second and third was given by Dr. T.D.Dogra, Dr. Manoj Kapil and Dr. Chitra Kaul.

Game Development Workshop
A game development workshop was organized by Faculty of Engineering with Picktail on 16 April 2018.
Mr. Ankit Sharma – an eminent guest speaker, having command on 21 technical languages took a hands-on session on Game Development. Students were told all the basic things they need to know about gaming like types of it, music, lighting, kismet and the most important one story-line having characters and all the features. Students were introduced with a software known as UDP. They found it very useful and easy to use. They created a part of it having some characters and scaling them with all the lighting involved.
It was a fun session for the students with a lot of learning as game development has a very bright future with students reaching heights and doing great in this field.
Cisco Networking Workshop-2018
Department of Computer Science had organized one day Workshop on CISCO NETWORKING in collaboration with Elan & Nvision IIT Hyderabad held on 6th April 2018 at SGT University, Gurugram, a Zonal round for Braintech Championship 2018. The young and dynamic speaker Mr. Manish Bhardwaj was invited and he delivered a wonderful session with hands-on training. The event started with a motivational speech by Dr. T D Dogra, Director at IQAC followed by Dr. Rajneesh Wadhwa, Dean FET who encouraged the students about the importance of this workshop. Dr. Manoj Kapil, Professor & HOD of CSE Department addressed the students. The welcome note was delivered by Dr. Chitra Kaul, Associate Professor (CSE). More than 350 students attended this workshop. There were participants from colleges other than SGT University. The session was concluded with a test where five teams registered their place for Brain Tech Championship 2018 which will be held on 21st April 2018. The winners are:

FET, CSE Department organized a one-day event one-day event “Microsoft Imagine Camp” held on Thursday 16th March 2017 at SGT University.
