Dr. Raman Kapoor
B.E, PhD from Newcastle University, UK
Dr. Raman Kapoor is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering since July 2017. He has more than 5 years of Research and Teaching experience. Before joining SGT, he has worked at Institutions like IIT Delhi and Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. He has a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering (2008) and a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (2013) from Newcastle University, United Kingdom. In 2008, he was awarded the Overseas Research Scholarship Award by the Higher Education Funding Council of England to pursue doctoral research directly after B.E.
Dr. Kapoor has published research articles in high quality journals like IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, Journal of Power Sources, Scientific Reports and Nanotechnology. His research interests include semiconductor material and device characterization, modelling of novel semiconductor devices, reliability analysis and VLSI design. He has presented his research work in major International Conferences in India as well as outside India.
He teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate students and enjoys subjects like Analog Electronics, Electronic Fundamentals, Basics of Electrical Engineering, Electronic Instrumentation and VLSI Design.
He is also fulfilling the duties of B.Tech (1st year) co-ordinator and is an active member of SGT University’s Core Research Committee. He is also heading the Project Cell at the Faculty of Engineering which is responsible for delivering high quality technological projects.
