Dr. Mamta Dahiya, currently working on spatial data retrieval & security- A new way to search and analyse the output from the growing numbers of digital spatial data everywhere as the volume of images like Google earth and location demands are very high. Building her research in pattern recognition, data science & information security focusing on multiple aspects. She has completed her Doctorate in Computer Science and Engineering from Deenbandhu Chotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Murthal. She has done Masters in Technology in Computer Science & Engineering with Gold Medal. She has almost 18 years of experience including industry and academics. Her achievements include blending courses like Teaching Character & Creating Positive Classrooms, form Relay Graduate School of Education, USA with distinction, Ignite Your Everyday Creativity, from the State University of New York, USA with distinction, Cluster Analysis in Data Mining, from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, IIRS outreach program on Remote Sensing, GIS & GNSS offered by IIRS, NRSA, Govt. Of India, Process Mining: Data Science in Action from Eindhoven University of Technology, Switzerland etc.
She holds professional memberships of societies like IEEE, LMCSI, IJHEPS and LMSGSD. She has almost 60 research publications in various international, national journals of repute & conferences. She chaired technical sessions in multiple conferences under the umbrella of Elsevier, IEEE, and TQP etc. She has completed and worked on multiple research projects like “Optimum Route Planning & Mapping for Sonepat and Gurugram Private Transportation”, Government of Haryana, “The Trend of Vegetation Cover in NCT Delhi and Its Effects on Thermal Environment” an NNRMS sponsored project, Government of India, “”Design & Development of a Web-based Village Information System””. She has also conducted training programmes as a convener sponsored by Department of Science & Technology. She was the core member of Board of Studies (BOS), Departmental Research Committee (DRC), Faculty in-charge for professional memberships and chapters in department in her past accedmic institutes. Currently she is also working as the Consultant on “Asian Metropolis” services to carry out the full process of research, analysis and elaboration of the contents of the publication “Asian metropolitan report” with Metropolis, World Association of the Major Metropolises, Barcelona, Spain and Co-PI on “Technology Implementation for Water Management System in Gurugram”. A Department of Science Technology sponsored project, in collaboration with SGSD Gurgaon, and JNU, Delhi.
