Innovation Day and World Students Day

Association of Engineering & Technocrats (under Faculty of Engineering & Technology) celebrated Innovation Day and World Students Day in the memory of Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, Ex President of India on 15 October, 2019 (2.15 pm to 3.30 pm) in Room no 308, E- Block.

The AET organized “Exhibition of Projects of synergy 2019” and a seminar in which participants of Synergy 2019 from FET had come to show and present their Projects to the students and guest. They also briefed about their projects to everyone and shared the experiences they had in the journey of making these projects. All the challenges and difficulties in every project were discussed and analyzed and an oath of improvement has been taken by everyone. All students of Faculty of engineering and Technology visited each project in the groups of 10 and understood about each project.

On this occasion, Prof. Snehasis Ghoshal (Ex. Chief Manager of Yamaha Motors Pvt. Ltd.) was the guest of the event who addressed the students about Invention and Innovation. He also pointed out role of Project Based Learning in academics and industry. Prof. V.K. Shrivastava (Dean FEAT), Mr. Rajneesh Wadhwa, Dr. Ajay (Advisor, AET), Mr. Dinesh Deshwal and Ms. Sangeeta (Co-Advisors, AET), HoDs and Faculty members of all departments witnessed the event. President, Vice-President, Secretary, and members of AET organized this event.

Expert Talk on Industry 4.0

 Association of Engineers and Technocrats organized an expert talk on “Industry 4.0” on 25th September 2019. Mr. Snehasis Ghosal was the speaker for the event. Mr. Snehasis Ghosal is a Mechanical Engineering Alumni from IIT Madras. He has 30 years of experience in Automobile Industry. He is ex-chief general manager of RICO Auto Industries Ltd. and Yamaha Motors India Pvt. Ltd. The goal of this event was to address the students and enlighten them about Industry 4.0 and various buzz technologies like Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, IoT, Data Analytics, and Robotics. He also guided students about Entrepreneurship and Additive Manufacturing. It was a very interesting session powered by many visual and audio aids. The interactive style of lecture delivery by Mr. Ghosal engaged students even more. It was a very fruitful seminar, full of knowledge and motivation for the students, organized marvellously by AET members.

3 Days workshop and hands-on training on “Design and Drafting on SOLIDWORKS” from 10th to 12th February, 2020.

Association of Engineers and Technocrats, Faculty of Engineering and Technology is organizing 3 Days workshop and hands-on training on “Design and Drafting on SOLIDWORKS” for Mechanical Engineering students from 10th to 12th February, 2020. The workshop encompassed hands on training working with SOLIDWORKS software and introducing our students to the “Design World”.

Mr. Abhay Pandey from Amzanion Training Services Private Limited delivered the lecture and trained the students with real time exposure on Solid Works software. Students actively took part in this event with great zeal and claimed to have learnt some important concepts regarding designing

Report of Expert Talk on “Precision Manufacturing” held on 14th February, 2020

Association of Engineers and Technocrats organized an expert talk on “Precision Manufacturing” on 14th February 2020. Prof. Qasim Murtaza (Professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering, Delhi Technological University, Delhi) was the invited speaker of this event. Prof. Murtaza is the pioneer in the field of precision and advanced manufacturing.

The goal of this event was to address the students and enlighten them about precision and advanced machining processes and various other buzz technologies like laser machining, modern machining processes, and advanced meteorology, interferometry, nanotechnology, optical fabrication, precision optics, semi-conductor processing, standard and ultra precision manufacturing and so on. He also guided students about Entrepreneurship and selecting novel projects based on these trending technologies. It was a very interesting session powered by many visual and audio aids. The interactive style of lecture delivery by Prof. Qasim Murtaza engaged students even more. It was a very fruitful talk, full of knowledge and motivation for the students, organized marvelously by AET members.

Visit to DTU on 28 Feb, 2020

Association of Engineers and Technocrats (FEAT) organized an educational trip to the state of the art labs of Mechanical Engineering Department, Delhi Technological University on 28th Feb, 2020. Mechanical 3rd & 2nd year students were accompanied by faculty members Mr. Dinesh Deshwal, Ms. Shubhangi Chaurasia, Dr. Ajay & Mr. Asad Habeeb. Students got a brief overview of Mechanical Engineering Labs including research labs. Labs visited included precision manufacturing, advance metal joining, metal forming, metrology, CNC, Automobile workshop, etc. Students were addressed by Prof. (Dr.) R. S. Mishra (Dean outreach, DTU) and Prof. (Dr.) Qasim Murtaza (Department of Design, Production and Mehanical Engineering, DTU). Students asked many questions to experts and showed enthusiasm throughout the visit.
